FAW-Volkswagen launched the ID. AURA T6 in Guangzhou on September 20, offering four variants priced from RMB 129,900 to 166,900. Pre-sales orders have exceeded 30,000 units. As the first model under the brand's new NEV series, the T6 targets the family electric SUV market, with localized intelligence, cabin comfort, and ownership assurance as its core selling points.

The vehicle measures 4,811 mm long with a 2,836 mm wheelbase and a drag coefficient of 0.245. The cabin offers 38 storage spaces plus a front trunk, and with the front seats folded flat, forms a roughly 1.8-meter level space. Comfort features include a 12-way power-adjustable passenger seat with massage, ventilation, heating, and an electric leg rest, along with a rear folding table and magnetic attachment points.

The smart cockpit runs on a 4nm automotive-grade chip, supporting four-zone voice interaction, nine-dialect recognition, and AI large-model applications. The driver assistance system uses Horizon Journey 6H chips and the Kuraichen end-to-end solution, with LiDAR variants enabling urban and highway navigation assistance, smart parking, and door-to-door functionality.

Powertrain highlights include CATL batteries, a nine-in-one electric drive, and a nine-source heat pump system. Maximum CLTC range reaches 660 km, with energy consumption as low as 12.5 kWh per 100 km. The chassis features front MacPherson and rear five-link independent suspension with an FSO variable damping system and an intelligent anti-motion sickness mode. The battery has undergone over 400 tests, and the vehicle has completed frontal and side pole crash validations.
